Terms
Terms of Use
Last updated: 1 October 2026
1. Purpose
These terms govern access to and use of DJBackstage, online management software for DJs and event service providers, published by Julien Marsan, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel, EI). Creating an account constitutes acceptance of these terms.
2. Users
Professional accounts are reserved for people who use DJBackstage for their business. A professional’s clients only access the client portal that the professional opens for them.
3. Account
Users provide accurate information, keep their password confidential and remain responsible for actions taken from their account. They report any unauthorised use without delay.
4. User status and obligations
The User declares that they carry out their activity in compliance with the regulations applicable to them (business registration, declaration of activity, social security and tax obligations, insurance). The User warrants the accuracy of the status and identification information entered in their profile.
DJBackstage is a management tool. The Publisher is not the User’s employer, principal or agent, and is not responsible for the User’s administrative, tax or social security situation, nor for the content of the documents the User issues. The document templates provided do not relieve the User of the obligation to check that they comply with their own situation.
The Publisher may suspend an account where it becomes aware of a use that is manifestly unlawful.
5. Access and pricing
During the launch phase, access to DJBackstage is free, with no commitment and no payment method required.
Paid plans may be offered later. Their prices and terms will be announced at least 30 days before they apply. Users will remain free not to subscribe and may request a copy of their data.
6. Demo account
The demo account is shared by all visitors and contains fictitious data that is reset every day. No real data must be entered in it.
7. Use of the service
Users undertake to comply with the law and the rights of others, not to compromise the security or operation of the service, and not to use it for fraudulent purposes. Access may be suspended in the event of a breach.
8. Documents and user responsibilities
DJBackstage provides tools and templates to prepare quotes, contracts and invoices. These templates are starting points to adapt: they do not constitute legal, tax or accounting advice.
Users remain solely responsible for the content of their documents, their legal notices, their tax obligations and the compliance of their contracts. The signature offered in the client portal is a simple electronic signature (typed name, consent, date and IP address); it is up to users to assess whether it meets their needs.
9. Data of the user’s clients
For their clients’ data, users are the data controller and DJBackstage acts as a processor. DJBackstage processes this data solely to provide the service, keeps it confidential and secure, only uses the technical providers listed in the privacy policy, helps users respond to requests from data subjects, informs them without delay of any data breach and deletes the data when the account is closed.
Users guarantee that they have a legal basis for this data and have informed their clients.
10. Availability and backups
The publisher uses reasonable means to provide access to the service but does not guarantee permanent availability. Interruptions may occur, in particular for maintenance. The database is backed up every day; users should nevertheless keep a copy of their important documents.
11. Liability
The publisher is bound by a best-efforts obligation. To the extent permitted by law, it cannot be held liable for indirect damage, loss of revenue or the consequences of information entered by users.
12. Intellectual property
The software remains the property of the publisher. Users retain ownership of their data and authorise the publisher to host and process it only to the extent necessary to operate the service.
13. Term and account closure
These terms apply for as long as the account is used. Users may request the closure of their account at any time. The publisher may close an account in the event of a serious or repeated breach, after prior notice except in an emergency.
Account closure and data requests: contact@djbackstage.com
14. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. Any significant change will be announced at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will first seek an amicable solution before referring the matter to the competent courts.
